Keyla Richardson is a gospel powerhouse and contemporary praise & worship artist from Pensacola, Florida. Born into a pastoral family, she began singing in church at age five and has been moving audiences ever since.
She first went viral in 2015 with a video cover of the Walls Group’s “Hold On,” which catapulted her onto the national gospel scene. She followed that momentum to BET’s Sunday Best Season 9 in 2019, where she advanced to the Top 4.
As a recording artist, Keyla has secured three Billboard #1 singles “So Good,” “Prayer Will Change Things,” and “Home” establishing her as one of the most consistent charting voices in contemporary gospel music.
Beyond music, she appeared in the 2022 BET+ film Due Season alongside Vivica A. Fox. A music teacher by calling, she pours into the next generation daily at Life Shifting Learning Academy in Pensacola a school founded by her mother.
In 2026, she made history as a Top 3 finalist on American Idol Season 24, where Lionel Richie called her performance of “With a Little Help From My Friends” the greatest he had ever witnessed on the show further introducing her incredible gift to the world.
